Why do I need a “Mind/Emotional” Detox?
We all know that food and our environment can be toxic to our well-beings. It’s getting more and more popular that people start detoxing programs to help clean up the inner body system. But so often it happens that when we even have not finished the body detoxing yet, new toxic stuff is already building, though our mind, thoughts and emotions. These negative thought and emotions flood in day by day accumulating more heavy energy inside of our body system. An emotional detox will also help to release the buried stuff still there from our old wounds like traumatic experience, earlier events, or any limiting beliefs (self love and acceptance, self esteem, self worth…)
We are carrying heavy burdens in our daily life, using so much positive energy for suppressing instead of living by present moment enjoying and taking actions. Not that many people pay attention or be aware of the fact that how toxic thought/emotion energy costs us from living a fulfilling, happy and meaningful life, the life we are meant to live.
What is emotion? Emotion is really energy in motion. Only if we are human, we have emotions, including negative emotions. If emotion goes throughout the body effortlessly, it is happy emotion. If it goes through resistance in the line, it will express itself as negative emotion. Enough strong and long accumulated negative emotions in the line will express the body itself as illness. That’s why all illness has an emotional component. The cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body’s energy system. So in the end, no matter if it’s depression or cancer, almost all chronic diseases can go back to the root issue: the disruption of body’s energy system.
Emotion itself does not harm us, it’s our own judgment of our life situation that does. Either we allow the energy to move through our body without resistance, or we judgment things as wrong, or feeling need to control them (because they don’t go our way), or the trauma itself may have reversed our energy system itself already in our system. What happens is when we have this resistance; we will have the reaction in our body energy system. It’s like we built an inner wall inside of us, blocking the natural emotional energy flow. That reaction will eventually express itself as a form of negative emotion or illness.
An emotional detox will help you to remove the negative energy from your body’s energy system. Be sure to read part two: Why Spring is the Perfect Season for An Emotional Detox and leave your comments below.
